SCHOLARSHIP ARE OPEN FOR SPRING AND SUMMER 2023
Higher Education Commission ( HEC ) , Pakistan under its project US - Pakistan Knowledge Corridor invites applications for award of scholarships for PhD programmes in top 300 QS World Ranked US universities .
- The scholarship is only for PhD programmes and does not include MS Leading to PhD .
- Preference shall be given to applicants having admission in preferred subject areas as mentioned at HEC website .
- Applications for scholarship shall be submitted online through HEC scholarship portal . Link is as follows : https://scholarship.hec.gov.pk
Eligibility Criteria
A) Pakistani / AJK nationals
B) Minimum 4 years Bachelor's degree ( BS / BSc / BE / 16 years formal education )
C) No 2 or 3 Division in entire academic career is acceptable for both Category - I & II
D) Maximum age on the closing date shall not exceed :
- 40 years in case of regular Government employees / regular faculty members of public sector universities and Government colleges / regular researchers of approved R & D organisations
- 35 years in all other cases
E) Must not be availing any other scholarship
F)Those having PhD degree are not eligible
Specific Eligibility Criteria
Category 1 - Scholarship ( Top 50 QS Ranked US Universities - Fully Funded Scholarship )
The prospective applicants must have :
- Secured admission in top 50 QS World Ranked Subject wise US University
- Valid GRE - General Score ( Minimum 300 in total ) OR HEC HAT Score ( Minimum 60 % )
Category II - Scholarship ( Top 300 QS World Ranked US Universities ) :
A limited tuition fee up to USD 12,000 / - per annum is offered in addition to stipend . For this category of scholarship , prospective applicant must have
- a Secured admission in top 300 ( 51-300 ) QS World Ranked US university ( overall ranking ) . In case of QS Subject wise Ranking , must have secured admission in top 100 ( 51-100 ) universities
- b . Valid GRE - General Score ( Minimum 300 in total ) OR HAT Score ( Minimum 60 % Score ) . GRE - General or HEC HAT Score is not required in case admission is secured with complete tuition waiver
Important Note
- Applications for scholarship are invited from those prospective applicants who satisfy both general and specific eligibility criteria .
- Latest QS Ranking 2022 shall apply . www.topuniversities.com website will be used as a reference for QS Ranking GS Ranking may also include QS World University Ranking by subject . Subject ranking shall be in terms of broad subject area only .
